The evening opens with a live Co-Tying Performance by Aisha Cruz, GluWur & Rouse Renoir from Spain.
This collaborative performance explores contrast through shared tying, revealing the fragile threshold between switching on and off – not only of light, but of attention, power, intimacy, and presence.
*21.00 - Rope Jam*
Following the performance, the space opens for a free jam. Everyone is welcome, whether you come alone, as a couple, or with friends.
If you’d like to tie, feel free to bring a partner and join in or simply observe and enjoy the atmosphere.

*Who are the artists*
*Aisha Cruz*
Aisha Cruz is an Andalusian theatre actress, shibari performer, and self-suspension instructor working internationally. Since 2018, she has created original works blending theatre, dance, rope, and physical expression, with a strong focus on connection and audience presence. Based in Barcelona, she teaches ongoing training programs and shares her work worldwide.
*GluWur*
GluWur is a Chilean artist and performer based in Barcelona. Trained in theatre and oil painting, and later in aerial and circus arts, she discovered shibari in 2013. Since then, she has developed a distinctive style that merges rope work with contemporary circus and embodied expression. She is one of the early self-suspension artists and is known for her endless creativity.
*Rouse Renoir*
Rouse Renoir is a Basel-born artist and film director living on Fuerteventura. Since discovering her passion for shibari in 2014, this art form has deeply influenced her creative practice. Through international performances, workshops, and film productions, she channels her kinky imagination into powerful artistic expressions.
Tying with Friends Studio
Welcome to the heart of Basel! Our charming studio is just a 5-minute walk from Basel SBB train station and 30 minutes from the airport. With space for up to 10 bamboo or 12 single suspension rings, we offer regular bondage gatherings or workshops with internationally recognized artists and educators.
TwF (Tying With Friends) provides an opportunity for relaxed, cozy bondage gatherings in an intimate setting. Our main focus is on rope and the emotional connection it creates.
It doesn’t matter if you alone, a couple or just Friends - it is open for Social, trying out or just watching others tie. You don’t need eypirience for joining a Rope Jam.
