PREDICAMENT WORKSHOP – WITHOUT ROPE
by SWEN BRANDY [CARNIVORE]
About
The Predicament Workshop – Without Rope is a one-day intensive workshop designed to challenge participants both physically and mentally. The focus lies on balance, endurance, restriction, frustration, resilience, and creative session design.
Through specific positions, body postures, and simple support tools, participants experience restricted movement and reduced options for action. These limitations create situations in which both body and mind are challenged simultaneously. Participants will encounter periods of physical effort, discomfort, concentration, frustration, and perseverance.
The workshop explores the following elements:
Balance and instability
Physical endurance and exertion
Controlled stress and discomfort
Restricted or limited freedom of movement
Tasks under challenging conditions
Time pressure
Observation by other participants
Challenges with consequences for failure
The goal is to place body and mind into a state of controlled limitation where familiar coping strategies no longer work automatically. Participants learn how to deal with frustration, stress, and physical strain while developing endurance, focus, and adaptability.
The workshop combines playful experimentation with demanding challenges, creating intense and memorable experiences.
